Visit of the General Secretary for Research and Innovation, Dr. Tasos Gaitanis, to BSRC "Alexander Fleming".
On 5/11/2024 BSRC Alexander Fleming welcomed the General Secretary for Research and Innovation, Dr. Tasos Gaitanis.
During his visit, Dr. Gaitanis was briefed by the President of the Center and the Directors of the Institutes for Bioinnovation (IBI) and for Fundamental Biomedical Research (IFBR) on the current research directions and future plans of the Centre. Particular emphasis was given at the ongoing Recovery and Resilience Fund (RRF) project for renovation of our building and upgrade of scientific equipment, as well as the further development of the Biotechnopolis project, an innovative Biotechnology hub to be located next to the Center's current building, focused on the development of novel biomedical and pharmaceutical products and technologies. The Secretary-General was then shown around the Fleming laboratories and facilities, the Alexander Fleming museum and the premises of the Biomedcode spin-off company.
