The Reczko group gained 5 awards in the international BioASQ 2024 competition.
The Reczko group was awarded two 1st and three 2nd places in two tasks of the BioASQ 2024 international competition. Within the competition, biomedical experts pose questions for biomedical & public health issues that should be answered within 24 hours by intelligent information systems.
The Reczko group excelled (1st place award) in the categories "exact answers" (round 1) and “snippets”, and scored 2nd in the categories “documents”, “exact answers” (round 2) and “ideal answers” using a combination of open source and in-house developed Large Language Models.
The results of the challenge were announced at the BioASQ workshop held in Grenoble on 9 & 10/9/2024.
