Using transgenic systems for the deletion or overexpression of HuR in inflammatory cells, they unraveled unprecedented effects in mRNA regulation and demonstrated that enhancing HuR activity may be of clinical benefit in the battle against pathologic inflammation and colitis associated cancer.
