BSRC Fleming is a top-ranked Greek research organization focusing on scientific and technological excellence and has become internationally acclaimed for its pioneering research in understanding the molecular and cellular basis of disease pathogenesis. The Center in an important hub of National and International research networks and has already set up state-of-the-art infrastructures that provide biomedical research services to researchers, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in Greece and abroad. In the context of its strategic development, Fleming’s major goal is to support scientific excellence, training, innovation and entrepreneurship through the translation of its scientific achievements into clinical practice and the development of innovative products of highly added value.
BSRC Fleming and the National Bank of Greece, both acknowledging the decisive contribution of research and innovation, have joined forces to co-invest in this promising field, at this early stage of development in Greece. Fleming has already planned the establishment of a new Institute for Innovation & Drug Development, which will focus on the production of innovation in the field of drug development, as well as the development of Biotechnopolis, the first Integrated Biotechnology Park in Greece. We envisage that this cooperation with the National Bank of Greece will contribute to the development of innovative actions in these emerging areas of modern research and constitutes an investment for the future with significant socio-economic benefits.
