A central role for TPL2 in the regulation of fibrotic responses in the lung
A central role for TPL2 in the regulation of fibrotic responses in the lung.
In the recently published study, TPL2 was found to regulate Cox-2-mediated, prostaglandin E2 production in the lung. The development of pulmonary fibrosis in both humans and mice was shown to entail a transcriptional down regulation of TPL2, leading to the attenuation of PGE2 levels, and its potent anti-fibrotic effects, and the exacerbation of disease severity.
