In collaboration researchers at the School of Medicine, University of Athens, and the BSRC 'Al. Fleming' have uncovered that MCP-1 produced by tumor cells is an important determinant for the tumor cells' capacity to induce the formation of MPE suggesting that MCP-1 may be a useful target for the treatment of malignant pleural disease.
