The Transgenic Facility of the B.S.R.C. “Alexander Fleming” ( www.fleming.gr/tggt ) is a state-of-the-art facility for the generation, archiving and cryopreservation of transgenic mice localized in Vari, Greece; it also acts as the Hellenic partner of the European Mouse Mutant Archive EMMA).
The facility is seeking a person skilled in transgenic methodologies to support its services under INFRAFRONTIER-GR: The Greek Research infrastructure for phenotyping and archiving of model mammalian genomes*. The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of transgenic services including research, optimization and management activities.
Applicants are expected to have a PhD in Biological sciences; a proven record in mouse genetics, transgenic technologies and ES cell manipulation; proficient knowledge of the English language; and the ability to maintain flexible working hours as needed.
