Position ArchiveThe BSRC “Alexander Fleming” is seeking a Veterinarian to be involved in the management of a laboratory animal facility in Vari, Greece and under the research program INFRAFRONTIER-GR (to be funded).
Applicants should hold a degree in Veterinary Medicine and have prior experience in small rodents and management/supervision a laboratory animal facility. The successful candidate will need to have excellent communication skills, be fluent in spoken and written English and Greek, and have basic computer literacy skills.
Duties will include:
• Management of the animal facility’s operations, infrastructures, personnel & logistics
• Monitoring and planning of Experimental Licenses supervised by local authorities
• Handling of animal care issues, health status monitoring and animal imports/exports
• Training in aspects of animal husbandry and handling
• Maintenance of facility records
