A position for a highly motivated biomedical researcher/doctoral student is available in the lab of Dr. George Kollias at BSCR Fleming. Projects aim at the molecular and cellular mapping of pathways involved in the pathogenesis of arthritis, chronic inflammatory diseases and cancer using animal models. Selected scientists will join an interactive research group that operates across molecular biology and genetics, systems biology and disease therapy.
Candidates should have a post-graduate degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Life Sciences or related fields with specialisation preferably in molecular or cellular biology. Experience with animal models, advanced imaging and/or systems biology will be considered an asset.
The position is funded by the GSRT ERC project INNATE FIBROBLAST (ERC-06) co-financed by the European Union and Greece Operational Program 'Education and Lifelong Learning' - NSFR 2007-2013.
